Unit 4 Loving kindness exercise

I found this exercise a little easier to do because I tried this when there was no one around to distract me normally as soon  as I sit down someone always wants to come and talk to me about who knows what even though when I wasn't trying to do something they had nothing to say. Go figure? Anyway It was nice to try and relax enough to be able to complete this exercise but I must admit I can only mamage about 5 minutes after that I just can't sit any longer with out my mind wandering or if I get too comfortable I will fall asleep which means I did not get to complete the exercise. It was easy to visualize someone you love and feel that feeling of love for them flow into myself but itwas hard to give loving attention to something uppleasant I kept telling myself to deal with it. I must admit I was really reluctant to do so. I told my self if I gave the unpleasant stuff loving kindness maybe I could find a positive in it all. As I get better withit I can see where it would be beneficial. I think that most people could benefit from this exercise in some way.

The concept of a mental workout is that you practice daily in order  for your mind to be healthy and be able to achieve human flourishing. Just like when you work you bodyout everyday until you are where you want to be physically.  a mental mind work out can help relieve stress and help promote healing at the very least it will allow you to look  at what the situatio really is like from a different point of view  observing instead of being in it. Kind of like you can't see the forest for the trees. I am going to make an effort every day to try to complete these exercises for longer periods each time.
